Ecological Assessment

In working to inform development assessment in all sectors over 20 years we are practiced in providing Ecological Assessment for Queensland projects.

Protected Plant Surveys

Our team includes ecologists accepted as “suitably qualified” to carry out these surveys and has undertaken many Protected Plant Surveys in accordance with Queensland guidelines.

Animal Breeding Places

We provide relevant documentation for permit applications to tamper with animal breeding places for any activity that may directly affect a breeding habitat.

Koala Habitat Assessment

Our staff have a combined experience of over 200 years of practice, and an understanding of the regulations applied to Koala Habitat assessments.

Ecological Due Diligence

BAAM can compile a report outlining ecological values, contraints and opportunities, applicable legislation associated with future land uses.

Biodiversity Offsets

We will research and prepare the documentation needed to address offset requirements for all levels of Government

Vegetation and Flora Management Plans

BAAM’s in-house knowledge and on ground experience are key resources for producing effective and achievable vegetation and flora management plans

Ecological Planning & Wildlife Management

In addition to the private sector, we have provided these services to local governments in over 140 individual contracts for nine councils in SE Qld over the past 20 years.

Ecological Restoration

BAAM can provide the plans and advice for ecological restoration and rehabilitation projects using a variety of approaches most suited for our clients.

Fauna Spotting & Relocation

The fauna spotter-catcher identifies the locations of animals within a site and works with the site manager and clearing contractor to plan clearing activities to minimise harm to animals.

Peer Review

While having performed this service on behalf of planning and development clients, BAAM has also provided peer review services to State and Local government.

EPBC Act Referral

As part of an Ecological Assessment our ecologists will specifically target known or potential matters of national environmental significance identified during the study.

Ecological Monitoring

Our ecologists are practiced in the field methods required to measure ecological impacts, offset or restoration/rehabilitation progress.

Expert Advice for Land and Planning and Environment Court Matters
