BAAM Service Sectors

Residential, Commercial & Industrial

As communities continue to embrace sustainable living, environmental planning ensures developments give due regard to avoiding, minimising and managing ecological impacts. Central to the concept of sustainability in residential and industrial development is a clear understanding of the relevant terrestrial ecology values as these will reveal a range of constraints and opportunities – whether they relate to legislative obligations, nature-based lifestyle opportunities or simple actions to improve outcomes for flora and fauna.

In delivering over 950 individual service contracts for residential projects and over 40 industrial and commercial projects in Queensland in the past 20 years BAAM has contributed ecological information to master planning, provided preliminary due diligence assessments, concept design planning and advice, provided peer review services to State and local government development assessment units, and has informed development applications and information request responses to all levels of government. These services have been provided to land development companies, construction companies, town planners, State government departments, local governments, and private landholders.

In addition, we have provided ecological services to tourism projects, including:

  • Camping ground establishment and management planning
  • Resort and Eco Resort development and/or wildlife management planning
  • Walking and mountain bike trail development in national parks and other natural areas

Focusing on combining the provision of affordable, well-targeted and reliable ecological services with outstanding customer service has ensured the sustained relevance of our business in a rapidly evolving regulatory environment.

If you are planning to purchase land for residential, commercial or industrial development, are in the planning phase of a project, have existing plans for development and are in the process of preparing a development application, if you are responding to requests for further information from regulators, or simply need an independent review your current ecological advice, please follow the links below to find out more about the ecological services you may require and how BAAM can provide sound and trusted ecological services to your project:
