Peer Review

BAAM Services

Peer Review

Peer review is the evaluation of work by those with similar competencies as the producers of the work and can be provided to check or build on the veracity of the fieldwork and findings of ecological studies. It may be undertaken as a form of due diligence, or to add a further layer of surety to the accuracy of information provided to regulators.

Our staff of ecology professionals has a combined experience of over 200 years of practice. We have a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory requirements and guidelines applied to ecological assessment. Several of our in-house staff also have expertise in particular species, species groups and ecosystems and may provide valuable insights to specific issues.

While having acted on behalf of a range of planning and development clients to perform this service, BAAM also provides peer review services to State and local government development assessment units for the ecological components of development applications.
