Conservation planning services for natural values in your care

BAAM is committed to ensuring that our expertise is applied to the identification and consideration of ecological values for conservation.

From federal government to local community groups

BAAM undertakes conservation projects for government agencies and community groups aimed at improving the conservation of species and their habitats.

These include developing biodiversity databases, undertaking vertebrate and ground-breaking invertebrate surveys for local governments, facilitating nature conservancy’s that span across local government areas and regions, involvement in the national Bush Blitz Program as part of the Commonwealth’s Caring for Country initiative, vegetation mapping for the Commonwealth’s recovery planning and preparing field guides for the identification of some of the lesser known elements of biodiversity.  BAAM applies its conservation expertise to all of our projects, ensuring that conservation issues are defined and good conservation outcomes are achieved wherever they can be facilitated.

We’re recognised as conservation leaders

BAAM ecologists regularly add information, specimens and species occurrence records to the Queensland Museum and Herbarium databases (Herbrecs) as well as Queensland’s WildNet database and the New South Wales BioNet wildlife atlas to improve the scientific and community understanding of animal and plant distributions. Involvement in the Bush Blitz Program contributes biodiversity data at a national level with surveys carried out in nature conservancy’s throughout the country.

The establishment of the Glossy Black Conservancy was a major BAAM initiative involving a partnership between government and non-government agencies, community groups and business. The Conservancy integrates the conservation efforts of a number of local government jurisdictions in south-east Queensland and north-east New South Wales to improve the conservation of the threatened Glossy Black-Cockatoo.

BAAM’s in-house conservation knowledge and on ground experience is unrivalled. Contact Us today we have the right ecological consultants for your project.
